Travel Diaries: Bridgeport, CT

On the wave of winter storms, record-breaking blizzard conditions and frozen temps, I thought I would share a few photos from a trip to Bridgeport, CT. Sadly, my family traveled to Connecticut for my great grandfather’s funeral, but it was nice getting to spend time with some extended family. Later on that evening, everyone congregated in the lobby and the lounge area at the hotel, just chatting away. I got a little antsy and thought I would seek out a little adventure.

I grabbed my camera, asked my brother to accompany me and we took a stroll through downtown Bridgeport…in the snow. To be completely honest, it was freezing! I had my Uggs on, so I made it work. Keep in mind, I’m a beginner to this photography thing, but I love it. The vibrant graffiti/street art was so cool and creative–like seriously visually pleasing to the eye. Let me know what you guys think about the photos! Has anyone else been hit by the photography bug, like me?

Thoughts & Prayers…

My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy.¬† The northeast part of the country–especially New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have been devastated by this treacherous¬†storm. Scrolling through my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram timelines, its been refreshing reading about random acts of kindness to assist those who are in need. Also with the help of nationwide charities including American Red Cross, United Way and Goodwill, rebuilding and getting back to the “normal” life is on the horizon.
